Andres Blanco

Andrés Blanco holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from IESE Business School. He began his professional career at Andersen Consulting before transitioning to the French IT company Bull, where he led the international networks and communications group. He later returned to business consulting, first with Gemini Consulting, then at A.T. Kearney, where he rose to Vice President in Spain. Following this, he held the position of Managing Director at Atlante, a subsidiary of Indra, and was also a member of Indra’s Operating Committee.
Between 2004 and 2013, Andrés was the founder and CEO of Aretech Group, an engineering company specialising in energy, water, and environmental projects. Since 2013, Andrés Blanco has been the CEO of Xcalibur Smart Mapping, the global leader in the airborne geophysics and mapping industry. The company provides comprehensive and sustainable solutions for mapping and assessing natural capital, including both renewable and non-renewable resources, leveraging over 100 years of accumulated experience.
Under his leadership, Xcalibur Smart Mapping has executed over 1,400 projects, covering more than 50 million linear kilometres across six continents. The company’s operations are supported by a proprietary fleet of 40 specialised aircraft equipped with cutting-edge geophysical systems.
